The invitation is the first part of your wedding that your guests experience, and I strive to make that moment memorable.
My process focuses on capturing you and your wedding on paper. I pull inspiration from details like venue architecture, special memories, family heritage, and meaningful icons.
Every detail is hand-crafted by me: watercolor paintings, line drawings, spot calligraphy
After filling out my contact form with your details, I'll send over a custom proposal, which will outline an estimate & timeline for your stationery needs. You'll have the option to schedule a call, where we'll chat over the phone about the details of your wedding, and what you envision for your invitations. To secure your spot in my design calendar, you'll sign a contract & pay a retainer.
My design process begins with a questionnaire to gather more details about you & your vision for your celebration. The words and images you provide are what inspires my design. From the details you provide, I'll create a mood board and color palette based on my inspiration. I'll also sketch out my ideas and the specific art & design direction for your invitations.
After you approve the sketch, my favorite part begins! I put my tools to work to create the art & calligraphy for your wedding stationery. You will receive up to 3 rounds of design proofs before the final print approval. We'll take care of any tweaks to ensure each piece is 100% perfect.
Once the designs & wording have been finalized, your invitations get sent to the printer! You get to sit back and relax, while I take care of assembly. Once everything is ready, I ship your fully assembled suites to you.
I strive to design invitations that become family heirlooms, as a physical representation of this momentous occasion.
Nora O'Brien Studio currently has a project minimum of $1500. On average, clients spend between $2500 and $4000 for 100 sets of 3-piece invitation suites.
