My creative process focuses on representing you and your wedding through art. I want guests to open their envelopes, get a glimpse into your celebration, and feel the anticipation of the moments and memories to come. I pull inspiration from details like venue architecture, nature, personal stories, family heritage, and meaningful icons to create custom designs that are uniquely you. Every detail is hand-crafted by me: watercolor paintings, line drawings, and spot calligraphy.
After you inquire, we'll connect for a 30 minute call to discuss your wedding vision and stationery. I'll provide more details about my approach and the custom design process. After the call, I'll send your proposal, which will include estimates, your stationery timeline, and your contract. To secure your spot in my design calendar, you'll sign the contract & pay my design fee.
My design process begins with a questionnaire to learn more about you & your vision for your celebration. The words, stories, memories, and everything you share with me are the details that inspire my design.
Based on these elements, I dive into research, gather images, and start sketching ideas for your stationery. I'll present these sketches along with a written design concept & color palette for you to review.
After you approve the sketch, my favorite part begins! I pull out my paintbrushes and pens to create the artwork & calligraphy for your stationery. While I work on painting, I will send you a questionnaire to gather the specific wording for your invitations. Once the painting is complete and all of the elements are digitized, I will create digital mockups for you to review.
You will receive up to 3 rounds of design proofs before the final print approval. We'll take care of any tweaks to ensure each piece is 100% perfect.
Once the designs have been approved, your stationery is sent to the printer, and production begins. You get to sit back and relax, while I take care of all the assembly.
After the suites have been carefully assembled, envelopes sealed and stamped, I will ship them to you. I provide thorough guidelines for mailing, so you can feel confident taking your invitations to the post office.
I strive to design invitations that become family heirlooms, as a physical representation of this momentous occasion. Clients typically invest $6,000-12,000 for all of their wedding stationery.
Save the Dates: starting at $2000
Invitations: starting at $4000
Day-of Stationery: priced according to scope
Consider me your creative director, artist-in-residence, project manager, etiquette expert, calligrapher, and envelope stuffer. I wear many hats, all with the primary goal of making the custom design process seamless for you.
Nora was highly recommended by a friend in the wedding industry and I was immediately drawn into her beautiful work that she illustrates so realistically in all of her marketing and social media materials (what you get will be just as magnificent, if not more magical than what you see!). Because of the uniqueness of our chosen venue - on a remote island in the middle of Wisconsin - I wanted to engage a true artist with the skill and vision to bring our wedding weekend to life in the style of the venue. Nora did all of that and more, with great skill, imagination, and professionalism.
Nora designed our invitation suite and day-of stationery. I was so appreciative of how receptive she was to feedback, always incorporating our comments and requests into her keen vision, without sacrificing the magnificence of her work. I personally loved how she documented her process so that you could eventually see every step that went into designing your invites. Despite having never visited Stout's Island Lodge before, Nora brought the venue to life in a way that made me - and our guests - feel as though we were there from the moment we opened the envelope.
Nora was wonderful to work with and really brought our wedding invitation suite vision to life. Her illustration of our venue for the save-the-date was so perfect, and she did a great job listening to what we wanted and making changes along the way (especially the transformation from spring to winter once we postponed!). When it came to the full invitation suite, she was able to generate what we described into something beautiful on paper, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. We got SO many compliments as guests started to receive them - some even saying they were the most beautiful wedding invitations they've ever seen. Nora also created our signature cocktail sign for the day of, which is now a wonderful keepsake for us. Nora was professional, creative, timely, and extremely open to listening and understanding what we wanted. Working with her was one of our best wedding planning decisions!
