A special design element for Margaret & Paul was this

Because Margaret and Paul opted to have their guests RSVP online instead of via mail, I was able to get creative with relaying the reply instructions on the back of the oval cutout.

On the inside of the trifold, I painted a map

The main invitation features

Inspired by vintage fairytale books, this oval cutout was designed to frame their enchanting wedding venue (a castle!) Upon opening the frame, guests discovered it to be a trifold card, wrapping around the invitation and providing more details on the weekend's festivities.

Margaret and Paul got married at Castle Park, a private community (with a castle) on the shore of Lake Michigan. The beach along this property holds many memories for Margaret, so I created a watercolor painting of the lakefront for the envelope liner. I love that this was the first thing guests saw when they opened their envelopes, as it set the scene for the waterfront reception views.
